Well, I don't even know where to start.
What is happening??
This week has been, for lack of a better word, surreal. Unbelievable, really. Totally unexpected, and a bit of a blessing in disguise. What am I talking about?
We have been quarantined!! My family of 2 adults and 3 children has been asked to spend 14+ days in social isolation and quarantine inside our home due to my positive COVID-19 test result. My husband and I had been on a trip to Mexico and on return, I began to develop symptoms indicative of the coronavirus. Not what we expected (does anyone?!), but we must go on day by day!
Now I will admit that we are blessed to have a home with ample room for us all, and are not at all on top of each other in here, although it does feel like it at times. But it is still a lot to know you can't escape!
If you know me, you know that I am a person who thrives on routine. And the first 3 days of this quarantine had ZERO routine. I mean, we had just been thrown a curve ball and were kind of giddy with the freedom of knowing we had nowhere to go and nowhere to be and no one expecting anything of us!
This is not the worst feeling!
Very quickly though, I began to feel the stress of keeping up a semblance of normalcy and decided today to try a routine. We have 3 children aged 9, 7 and 4 so we need SOMETHING to keep us moving :) So today on day 4 of our quarantine, we are giving it a shot! I had been forwarded a daily COVID-19 routine by someone and decided to tweak it, make it our own, and try it out! Here it is!

I'm hoping that this routine allows us to feel like we are still a family with goals and learning opportunities and time together. That we can use this time to appreciate one another and learn together and get to know each other even better.
I am an optimist, always have been and always will be, and I believe that there is a positive in every situation.
This situation is no different.
We will choose to find the sun behind the clouds and make the best of it.
Happy Quarantine to all, and Happy Organizing!!
